I am really good at New Year goals. And by that I mean I am great at contemplating and setting them. The follow-through is where I’m not always so good. In fact, the follow-through is where I am usually a major fail. So this year I didn’t really set any resolutions. I just thought about some things I wanted to be better at. The list was overwhelming because I could be better in so many areas. But one of my main focuses was just being kind. One day I want to be the person that people remember as the gal that went out of her way to be kind. You know, that one that comes up in Relief Society and has all the ladies in tears? I want to be her. And one day, I hope to be her. I just have to take it a (baby) step at a time.
One of the things that has really brightened my days this last year has been kind letters and notes. I have been touched on so many occasions by people taking the time to write a kind note or send a thoughtful letter. So one thing I decided to be better at this year was saying “Thank You” and expressing my gratitude whenever I felt it. Often times I think, that was so nice of her and I really need to tell her …. and then I never do. And that’s where my problem lies. But not this year! This year, I am going to be the queen (or maybe first runner up – I’ll settle for that) of follow through!
I’m excited to share this goal with my little ladies as well. I think it’s a perfect hands-on way to teach them about gratitude and I already know they love to draw pictures and send love notes to anyone and everyone. Literally …. everyone. Nora told me I should write a thank-you note to my OB/GYN for checking up on baby sister (and my cervix) the other day. ? I think that’s one area I am ok leaving it as a silent thank-you.
Something I did to get me really excited about my new goal is having a bunch of totes cute Thank You cards on hand. Basic Invite is the best place to take care of all your printed needs. I am in love with all of the cards they sent. So much so, that I know exactly where I am going to get baby girl’s birth announcements from! (Eeeeek! I can’t wait!)
I’m always overwhelmed at where to turn when it comes to party invitations and birthday invitations because there are so many options. But one of the reasons I fell in love with Basic Invite is they are one of the only websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options so you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the littlest detail. Even their envelopes are customizable with over 40 different colors to choose from, you will create the perfect color combo. This is what made Basic Invite stand out to me in the world of invitation websites.
Something else I love is that they will send you a custom sample of your invitation so you can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before you ever have to place your final order. Huge! I love seeing exactly what I am going to pay for.
And then the foil. Don’t even get me started on the foil. You can choose flat or raised foil in gold, silver, or rose gold on all of Basic Invite’s foil designs. The teenage girl inside me is all heart eyes over rose gold foil.
Right now Basic Invite is offering 15% off with coupon code: 15FF51 so if you are in need of party invitation printing or any other stationery needs – take advantage of this awesome offer! … And don’t forget the foil guys!
