Hello world!

“Hello world!” was the default title for a first post and I think it suits this post quite nicely. Hello world! And welcome to my new blog.  I’ve blogged before .. always on and off and therefore, I’ve always suffered from bloggers guilt.  That’s what it’s called when you feel super guilty about not posting frequently enough.  At least that’s what I call it.  But I have a strong desire to blog, and journal, and write, and express my feelings.  So this is my place.  My place to post when and how I may.  I hope you’ll follow me as I write about my life, my family, my insecurities, my passions and all the funny things my children say and do.

I just want to start by writing about my family.  I have a husband whom I am madly and deeply in love with.  I’m not sure what I did to deserve him but somehow he chose me out of all the women in the world. Many more beautiful and many less emotional than I.  Many more deserving of his love but nonetheless, I am so grateful that I am the one who gets to be spoiled by him every day.

He gave me two beautiful girls that I am plumb crazy about. Nora Grace is 3 and a half .. don’t forget the half! And she is growing right up.  I’m not sure how she got so old – it feels like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital.  She’s a wonderful helper and has taught me so much. I went into motherhood thinking, “I am going to teach her this and that and try to help her become the best little person she can be.” But without me even knowing, she ended up teaching me more than I ever could’ve taught her; and little by little, she’s helping me become a better person.

Next we were blessed with out little Cuteniss Everdeen, Misses Gwen Avery.  These girls are night and day different and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  Gwen is basically a sour patch kid.  She can be so sour .. but then 10 seconds later she’s the sweetest little angel saying “Momma Favorite”.  After Nora was born I was sure there was no more room left in my heart.  But then Gwen was born and I realized just how much vacancy there was to be filled.  Gwen will be 2 in one month and I’m not even about to except that.  To me she is still 6 months old and so I will continue to snuggle her on the couch while she sucks her thumb.

I love the life Stefan and I have built together and I love the love we all have for each other.  There’s no place I would rather be than at home with my husband and sweet girls.  This time of life can be challenging at times but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.  I can’t wait to see where this life takes us and can’t wait to see who these beautiful girls become.

Thanks for reading and I hope you’ll follow our journey!

Love Jamie
