This post talks a little about LDS missionaries and their work for the LDS Church. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. #iamamormon. I #liveit and #loveit. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the blessings it brings to my life. If you would like to know more about the LDS Church please visit LDS.org.
If you’re running short on reading time – be sure to scroll to the bottom to see the punch line … Sister Missionary Mall is NOT just for Sister Missionaries! They have clothes for you too! And to prove it – they are giving away a $100 gift card to their store to one of my lucky followers! But, after you do whatever is more important than reading this post right now – I expect you to come back and read the rest!
One thing I bet you never knew about me was that I didn’t serve a mission. Shocker right? I thought about it for a minute and then realized I could never fit all of my stuff into three suitcases so that was kind of a deal breaker. Also, I never grew a foot or two. Still waiting for that to happen …
I am really grateful for the missionaries in the field. I am always touched by the dedication and service of these elders and sisters all over the world. It’s so beautiful to me that men and women spend time away from their families so that others can be with theirs for eternity. Missionary work is the essence of service in my opinion. To all those who have served a mission and those who have waited as their loved ones served, thank you for your service.
If you are a lady and are going to be serving a mission, I am going to let you in on a little secret one-stop shop for all your sister missionary needs. Sister Missionary Mall. The Sister Missionary Mall has everything you will need (and want). One of the first things that caught my eye when I visited the SMM (it’s a cool kid thing to make up your own acronyms when it gets repetitive to type it out. So I give you: SMM) were the binders. Binders full of surveys filled by sisters who had previously served and what they found to be most useful in their mission. Binders upon binders full of hand-written real-life experiences. It was touching to see all these “pages”. A physical representation of so many who served and by doing so, brought happiness to so many in their paths.
Also, on these pages, were clothing needs for each specific mission (I knew I liked these binders). If you’re about to serve a mission – you just hit the jackpot! You will discover which shoes will be best for your mission and how many layers of long johns you will need if you’re serving in Russia. The answer is 17. 17 layers. (Do the Russian sister missionaries get an extra suitcase? They really should.)
All the cute gals who work at Sister Missionary Mall are returned missionaries. More real life experience in house. They all are willing to help you find outfits that will help you feel like a sister missionary while looking beautiful, bright, and trendy. They know the guidelines and are excited to help you find your personal style while complying to those guidelines.
Something else I noticed while walking around and touching all (and I mean ALL) the clothes in SMM was the quality. The quality of their clothing is top notch. The most top notch on the scale of notches. Seriously, this isn’t your average Target t-shirt that’s going to unravel after drying it once. Their clothes will last you the 18 months you will be wearing them. And while they’re lasting, they’re going to look good doing it. Their clothes are so cute guys! I seriously tried on several outfits before I decided on this one.
The Sister Missionary Mall, contrary to their name, wants to branch out and bring their clothes to all of you! You don’t have to have a name badge pinned to you to shop their. Lucky you! Are you a girl? Do you like to shop? Do you like trendy and modest attire? Do you have a name? Are you reading this? If you answered yes to any or all of the above – then Sister Missionary Mall is the store for you!
